YEAR: 2025

CONTENT: I was invited by the Meio do Mato Association to develop a collaborative project with the local community in Monchique, northern Portugal, titled ‘ESCULPIR OS NOSSOS DESEJOS‘, which culminated in an open presentation at the municipality park.

In this project, hands came together with wood to create sculptures that express the children’s desires. This sensory experience explored the potential of wood, prompting reflection on its many possibilities. Can our hands transform wood into chairs, tables, and decorative objects, while also shaping the dreams and desires within us? How many forms can wood take? Perhaps as many as we wish.

PLACE: Largo dos Chorões, 8550-462 Monchique
